Why is the Bundle ID `com.heiontech.mahjong` when the app is called「麻雀俠」? / 點解 Bundle ID 係 com.heiontech.mahjong 但 app 叫「麻雀俠」?

The app’s display name (shown on the home screen) and bundle identifier are two separate things. The former is the brand name; the latter is just an internal system ID — they don’t need to match.

App display name(主畫面個 label)同 bundle identifier 係 2 樣嘢。前者係品牌名,後者只係系統內部 ID,唔需要一樣。

How do I enter the four players’ names? / 點樣輸入 4 家嘅名字?

In Setup, tap a player icon → choose “Add new player” or pick from your existing mahjong friends. Friends (saved) are remembered for future sessions; one-time guests are used once and discarded.

喺 Setup 度撳玩家 icon → 揀「加入新玩家」或者揀現有嘅「雀友」。「雀友」(saved) 會儲住俾下次重用,「一次性 guest」用完就走。

How does the shared ledger work? / 點先寫入「小氣簿」?

After completing settlement (「埋數」) in each mode’s settle modal, tap “Write to ledger” to add that game’s result into the shared ledger. It’s idempotent — writing the same session twice updates the entry, not duplicates it.

每個 mode 嘅結算 modal 完成「埋數」之後撳「寫入小氣簿」,就會將該局 result 落入共用 ledger。Idempotent — 同一場牌局寫入會 update,唔會重複。

What’s the difference between HK Half-Round · Assistant and Pro? / 港式台牌・助手同專業有咩分別?

Assistant = you’re sitting at the table, tracking just your own wins/losses against the other three players (1 perspective).
Pro = you’re the scorekeeper for the whole table. Pair-chain logic is automatic, plus banker / round-wind / pot all auto-advance.
助手 = 你坐喺檯邊用嚟記低自己對 3 家嘅輸贏(1 perspective)。
專業 = 你係 scorekeeper 替全 4 家記。Pair-chain 邏輯自動 + 莊家 / 圈風 / 彩池自動推進。

What are “chip-half / settle” (劈半 / 找數)? / 「劈半 / 找數」係咩?

These are the chain rules in 港式台牌 — consecutive wins escalate by ×1.5, and on winner-rotation / 3-loss the chain must settle (找數). If the loser of an active chain becomes the new winner, the previous chain is halved (劈半). The full Hong Kong tradition is explained in the in-app “How to play” tutorial.

How are balances handled after a player rotation? / 換人後嘅結餘點處理?

Assistant mode: when a player leaves, the app auto-settles their outstanding faan; the new player starts from 0.
Pro mode: all active chains must be settled to 0 before a rotation can happen. The new player enters at 0; the departing player’s balance is frozen into the ledger.
助手 mode: 換人時自動 settle 走嘅人嘅未結番,新人由 0 開始。
專業 mode: 必須先結算所有 active chain 至 0 先可以換人。新人入座由 0 起,舊人結餘 freeze 入小氣簿。

What is “horse” (中馬) in 跑馬仔? / 跑馬仔嘅「中馬」係咩?

A Hong Kong term — when there’s a self-draw or discard, the opponents owe an extra “horse” multiplier. In-app you can configure it as either “add” mode or “multiply” mode.

香港俗稱 — 自摸 / 出銃時對方要俾「馬」(額外倍率)。App 入面可以設定「加」mode 或「乘」mode。

Can I import my old game records? / 可唔可以 import 我以前嘅對局紀錄?

Not yet. Heion Mahjong v1.0 is purely local-first, with no import / export. CSV export and optional cloud sync are on the roadmap.

How do I transfer my records to a new iPhone? / 如果我換新 iPhone 點 transfer 紀錄?

For now: iCloud Backup includes app data and will restore automatically. Third-party iPhone migration tools also work. Manual export (JSON) will be added in a future v1.x release.

Is iPad supported? / 支援 iPad 嗎?

Yes. On displays ≥768px the layout widens to 640px, instead of staying in the 480px phone shell.

What about landscape orientation? / 支援橫向?

iPhone is portrait only. iPad supports all four orientations.
