Besides playing, the App includes 1,180+ master games with move-by-move commentary written in plain language — it explains the opening, the turning points, and the winning idea, so you can understand the game, not just replay it. It also has 9,000+ endgame puzzles and step-by-step lessons.

Does it need an internet connection? / 需要連接網絡嗎?

No. Playing the computer, browsing master games, solving puzzles, and the lessons all run entirely on your device — aeroplane mode included. The only feature that uses the network is optional online play (線上).

不需要。與電腦對弈、瀏覽名局、解殘局及教學,全部在你的裝置本機運作 — 飛航模式照玩。唯一會用到網絡的,是選用的**「線上對戰(線上)」**。

Does the computer opponent need the internet? / 電腦對手需要網絡嗎?

No. All four levels (Beginner / Normal / Hard / Master) are powered by the built-in engine running on your device. Nothing is downloaded and no data is sent.

不需要。四個難度(入門 / 普通 / 困難 / 大師)全由裝置本機的內建引擎運算,無需下載,亦不會傳送任何資料。

How does online play work? / 「線上對戰」如何運作?

Tap 線上, then create a room (you get a short code) or join with a friend’s code. Moves are relayed between the two devices to keep the board in sync. No account is needed, and only chess moves and the room code are exchanged — see our Privacy Policy.

按下**「線上」**,建立房間(會取得一個房號)或以朋友的房號加入即可。棋步會在兩部裝置間中轉以保持同步。無需帳戶,交換的資料僅限棋步與房號 — 詳見我們的私隱政策。

Can I switch between Traditional, Simplified and English? / 可以切換繁體、簡體與英文嗎?

Yes — use the 繁 / 简 / EN toggle at the top of the screen. The board glyphs and interface update instantly.
